The Eastern Province Is Getting One Of The Biggest Theme Parks In The Kingdom

While we all were eagerly awaiting the completion of Qiddiya City that is set to become one of the premier entertainment destinations in the country, another colossal theme park that functions almost like a mini-city has been announced.

The theme park will be built in the Aziziyah area of the Eastern Province and will cover an area of 100-hectares. The location is pretty strategic as it is located within close distance of Dammam, Al Khobar, Dhahran and even Hofuf.

The mammoth park will be built by the Public Investment Fund backed Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN).

According to the Arab News, this theme park won’t be a standalone project, accompanying it will be six cinemas and three new entertainment destinations scattered all around the Eastern Province.

All in all, the theme park along with the other entertainment venues are set to put the Eastern Province on the Middle Eastern tourism map.

What makes this project more special is that it may see a lot of tourists from nearby countries as well including Bahrain and Kuwait.

Time to head east.
