This Old Neighborhood In Al Khobar Is A Graffiti Lover’s Dream And It Has All The Ingredients To Become A Top Tourist Site

The tri-cities of Dammam, Dhahran and Al Khobar are more or less established fairly recently, so unlike Jeddah and Riyadh, they don’t have a rich history to boast of. As a result of that they are constantly coming with new tourist sites and earlier in 2018 they transformed a portion of a sleepy neighborhood called Al Bayounia in Al Khobar into a giant canvas. And, boy does it look good.

These once deteriorating houses got a breath of new life

Thanks to the graffiti masterpieces on them

If you were the kind that hated graffiti then this graffiti project will probably make you change your mind

A total of 21 artists took part in the project

It took them over 10 days to complete

The project is officially called Alfan Sharqy, which literally translates into art is eastern – with eastern referring to Saudi Arabia’s east
