Al Khobar Is the First City In The Entire MENA Region To Have 5G Network And It Will Be REVOLUTIONARY

Al-Khobar will be the first area in the entire Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to launch the fifth-generation wireless network, more commonly known as the 5G network, according to daily Saudi Gazette. The Kingdom’s Centre of International Communication (CITC) announced the AMAZING news in a press statement recently.

What does this mean for the Kingdom?

Previous wireless technologies will have no say once this 5G mobile network comes out, with its data-transmission speed of more than 1Gbps.

 WOW. 

In a statement with SG, it was also mentioned that since the capacity of this type of technology is so high that it might even pave the way for future developments of robots and even virtual reality.

Saudi Arabia is one of the first countries to provide the 5G network

CITC plans to launch the full 5G spectrum by the middle of 2019. The Kingdom’s government is aware of the important role that broadband communication plays, and the benefits of 5G once its utilised. All of the initiative headed towards the 5G’s launch in Al-Khobar is part of Vision 2030, paralleling with the aim to lead a more modern economy.
