Saudi Arabia’s Public Donation Drive For Pakistan’s Flood Victims Raises SR25 Million

This past month, Pakistan has witnessed some of the worst floods in its history. The death toll is approaching 1,500, and the number of people affected by the floods is estimated to be as high as 32 million.

Saudi Arabia has been assisting the country recoup, and it has now even launched a major public donation drive through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

Donations from the public are being accepted through KSRelief’s “Sahem” platform.

KSRelief has already started delivering aid to Pakistan.

As of now, the amount raised through the drive is around SR25 million.

There are a number of various types of aid that donors could choose, including food baskets that could support a family of seven for a month for SAR 225. Then there are options of building wells or setting up shelters as well.
