The First Match That Women Will Be Able To Watch Live In The Stadium Will Be Between These 2 Clubs

Avatar

There are thousands of female football fans in the country. The wait to watch their favorite teams play from the stands is almost over. The 1st match that women are being allowed in is perhaps the best one that they could’ve hoped for.

On the 12th of January, a match between the country’s two giant football clubs will be held at the King Fahd Stadium.

The match will be between Riyadh’s Al Hilal and Jeddah’s Al Ittihad clubs; both are widely considered amongst the best football clubs in the Gulf. Matches between the two giants are referred to as the Saudi El Classico.

Al Hilal has won more official titles than any other club in the country. Al Ittihad, on the other hand, is one of the oldest clubs in Asia with its foundations dating back to before the formation of the Kingdom.

The decision to allow women to enter the stadium was lifted on the 29th of October just a month after the ban on women’s driving was lifted. They are, however, limited to three stadiums. Those include Riyadh’s King Fahd Stadium, Dammam’s Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium and Jeddah’s Al Jawhara.
