A few countries including some in the GCC have already started administering booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines to their residents and now Saudi Arabia may too as well.<\/p>\n

According to the Saudi Gazette, the official spokesman for the kingdom\u2019s Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali, has said that the third dose will be given to those with chronic kidney disease and organ transplants.<\/p>\n

In a press conference, Dr. Ali has also emphasized the need for booster shots for those at high risk specifying people who suffer from immune disorders.<\/h2>\n

He also stated the vaccine is still not approved for children under 12 and a study to that effect is underway.<\/p>\n

As of yesterday, the kingdom has successfully administered 38 million COVID-19 vaccines.<\/h2>\n
