Qataris, Get Ready! Your Thailand Trip Now Requires a Free ETA!

Aya Elgohary

Qataris, if you’re planning a trip to Thailand, there’s a new travel update you need to know! Starting December 1, 2024, travelers from Qatar will be required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before visiting Thailand. This new policy is part of Thailand’s push to enhance border security while ensuring a smooth entry process for visitors.

The ETA application process is fully digital and free, making it quick and easy for Qataris to get ready for their Thailand vacation. Whether you’re visiting for shopping, relaxation, or adventure, the ETA allows a 60-day stay, with the option to extend for an additional 30 days.

Applying for the ETA is simple. You can complete the process on Thailand’s official e-Visa website, ensuring you’re set before boarding your flight. And with automated immigration clearance gates, you’ll breeze through entry on arrival.

The system will launch as a pilot program in December 2024 and be fully operational by June 2025. If Thailand is your destination, make sure to get your ETA and enjoy a hassle-free experience.
