Qatar is about to get a serious chill! With temperatures dropping to 18°C and a cold wave rolling in from 30 December 2025, locals are bracing for a week of strong winds and winter feels. But don’t worry, the city’s still shining bright, even if you’ll need to dig out your jackets!
Doha’s skyline looked extra dramatic as rain poured down and clouds gathered overhead. The city’s iconic skyscrapers sparkled against the stormy sky, while feather-shaped streetlights lit up the slick, wet roads. Cars splashed through puddles, headlights and taillights reflecting off the shiny asphalt, making every drive feel like a scene from a movie.
Waves crashed against the promenade, sending sprays of water over the barriers and leaving puddles everywhere. Even the buildings under construction seemed to shiver in the chilly breeze. From inside a rain-speckled car, the city looked like it was gearing up for a full-on winter adventure, umbrellas up, scarves on, and everyone ready for the cold snap.
But let’s be real, Qatar’s version of winter is a whole vibe. When the mercury hits 18°C, it’s officially ‘winter survival mode’! One little legend proved it’s all about attitude: decked out in swim gear, goggles fogged up, and splashing around, this kid wasn’t letting a little cold stop the fun. When asked if it was cold, the answer was a firm “No!”, because in Doha, winter is just another excuse to keep swimming!
