Qatar is gearing up for a grand celebration of its National Day today at Darb Al Saai, where visitors will get to experience a rich cultural and heritage extravaganza that embodies the true spirit of Qatar. The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of this exciting event, promising an unforgettable experience reflecting the nation’s values of loyalty, belonging, and Qatari pride.

Darb Al Saai, located in Umm Salal, spans a massive 150,000 square meters, offering a comprehensive experience that showcases both land and sea heritage. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, there’s something for everyone. You’ll step back in time as you experience the traditional life of the Bedouins, from poetry sessions and riddles to the Al Maqtar and Al Azba activities. These activities will give you a real feel of Bedouin life and culture.

The event isn’t just for adults—there’s plenty for the little ones too! Kids can enjoy camel riding lessons, live experiences that mimic the nomadic life of Qatar’s ancestors, and visit traditional houses like the Falconry House, the Hunting House, and the Sadu and Spinning House. These hands-on activities provide a glimpse into the heritage and culture of Qatar.
For those interested in maritime traditions, don’t miss the Al Bidda event. This highlights Qatar’s rich maritime heritage through interactive heritage games, competitions, and a museum dedicated to preserving the history of Qatar’s seafaring past.

This year’s event at Darb Al Saai sees the involvement of multiple state institutions and ministries, alongside the Ministry of Culture’s various centers. These institutions will offer a range of cultural and artistic programs, including photography and art exhibitions, workshops, and theatrical performances. What’s even more heartwarming is the participation of 420 volunteers from the Qatar Volunteer Center, including 20 volunteers with special needs. The volunteers will contribute across various fields—medical, media, administrative, and organizational—helping make this celebration as smooth and enjoyable as possible for everyone.
Darb Al Saai is open daily from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, so gather your family and friends and make sure you don’t miss out on this exciting cultural celebration. It’s an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in Qatar’s deep-rooted traditions while having fun with the whole family!
