England’s Royals Hosted Their Highnesses Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad and Sheikha Jawaher For A State Visit!
Buckingham Palace was recently buzzing with royal splendor, as King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted a lavish state banquet for Qatar’s Emir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher.
So what happened in the visit?
The Qatari royals were officially welcomed by the English royals, including the King and Queen as well as Prince William and Princess Kate. Following that, a 150 guests gathered in the ballroom of Buckingham Palace for an evening of elegance, culture, and diplomacy.
The Emir looked positively regal in his traditional Qatari attire for both sets of royals’ photos together, while Sheikha Jawaher stunned in a dark purple gown, radiating sophistication.
But that’s not all
Sheikh Tamim also addressed both houses assembled in the Robing Room of the House of Lords, giving a speech in which he praised Qatar’s role in mediating the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners.

That same night, King Charles also gave a speech…in Arabic no less! He used that opportunity to officially welcome the Qatari royals to England.

The two-day event concluded today, December 4th, with this royal exchange marks yet another chapter in the historic bond between Qatar and England. Especially since Qatar was the first Arab country to be invited for a state visit since King Charles’s ascension.
