Fashion Trust Arabia Cancels Awards Ceremony in Solidarity with Palestine

Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA), a philanthropic initiative that supports talented fashion designers from the MENA region, has canceled its Fifth Annual Awards Ceremony and all forthcoming activities in light of the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

This year’s ceremony has been cancelled in solidarity with Palestine

In a statement, FTA said that it made the decision “out of solidarity and respect” for the Palestinian people. The prestigious awards event, which has been attended by celebrities like Bella Hadid and Naomi Campbell in the past, was scheduled to be held last month but was called off after the organization chose to take a stand against the Israeli assault on Gaza.

FTA’s decision has been praised by many, who commend the organization for taking a strong stance in support of human rights. It is a reminder that fashion is more than just clothes; it can also be a powerful tool for social change.

In its statement, FTA expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives and called upon global leaders to take immediate action to implement a ceasefire.

“We are absolutely heartbroken and devastated to witness the loss of innocent lives.”

One of FTA’s aims is to develop young talent within the MENA region, with a focus on art and creativity.
