There are many museums in the country but we selected a few to highlight in case you feel like visiting one this weekend.

5. Museum of Islamic Art

It closed briefly for renovations but its doors are open again. They’ve got loads of exciting exhibitions, workshops and kids’ activities.

Tickets are sold for QAR100 for adults. It’s located on Doha Corniche.

4. Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art

Every visit at Mathaf is different and there are over 9,000 artworks to admire.

Where? Education City.

How much? QAR50 for adult tickets.

3. Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum

This one’s a must-visit! Featuring the private collection of Sheikh Faisal, this museum has over 30,000 art pieces to admire. The 11 rooms will take you on a journey through time spanning from the Jurassic age to the modern day.

How much? QAR50 for adults and QAR30 for students.

Location: Al Samriya Estate, Al Shahaniya. Site!

2. Al Thuraya Planetarium

This place is heaven for astronomy lovers! Not only does it have interactive screens where you can learn all about famous Arab astronomers, but it’s also a place to explore the universe.

This museum pretty much has it all so if you’re in Qatar for a couple of days, this would be your first choice for sure!
