The surge in passenger traffic can be attributed to several key factors, including increased flight frequencies by the airport’s airline partners and the expansion of Qatar Airways’ network and seasonal operations. The total aircraft movement in July also saw a rise of 3.9% from the previous month. The airport’s load factor stood impressively at 82.8%, reflecting high occupancy rates and efficient capacity utilization.

Previously, the record for the busiest month was held by January 2024, with 4.5 million passengers. The top destinations for July included London, Bangkok, Dubai, Riyadh, and Jeddah, with the leading countries being India, the USA, the UK, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

As Hamad International Airport continues to grow and expand, it remains a key player in global aviation, connecting travelers across the world with excellence and efficiency.
