Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, has been crowned the world’s best airport for 2024, according to AirHelp’s latest report. This achievement marks a significant rise from its fifth-place position last year, showcasing its commitment to excellence in passenger experience.

The airport achieved an impressive overall score of 8.52 points, outshining 238 airports from 69 countries. It excelled across key metrics: scoring 8.3 for on-time performance, 8.7 for customer opinion, and a remarkable 8.9 for its food and shopping facilities. Notably, it ranked first for its diverse range of shops and dining options, and secured third place for service quality, facilities, and cleanliness.

AirHelp’s rankings are based on extensive data collected from May 2023 to April 2024, combined with feedback from over 17,000 passengers globally. The scoring system prioritizes on-time performance, which accounts for 60% of the score, and customer satisfaction metrics related to service quality, food, and shopping, accounting for the remaining 40%.
Hamad International Airport’s recent accolade adds to its string of successes, having also been recognized as the World’s Best Airport at the Skytrax World Airport Awards. These honors underscore its consistent delivery of exceptional travel experiences, setting a high standard for airports worldwide.
