Here’s How You Can Save Time At The Abu Samra Border When Entering Saudi Arabia

Avatar

The land boundary between Qatar and Salwa Road is known as the Abu Samra border and it acts as a direct route for travellers to enter into Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Interior launched a service of vehicle pre-registration that may be completed online to speed up procedures at the border in response to the rising usage of the Abu Samra border and passengers by automobile.

Here’s how you can pre-register for the border crossing lane

To take advantage of a designated lane at the border for a quicker and more convenient crossing, the service enables citizens and residents of Qatar to pre-register their vehicle using the Metrash2 Application and complete papers before their travel.

Soon, visitors to Qatar will also be able to pre-register their automobiles via the Hayya Portal.

However, up until further notice, car registration for tourists will only be possible at the Abu Samra border.

Pre-registering a vehicle online is not required and is optional. At the border, one can also register vehicles.

Follow these steps:

1) Sign in to the Metrash2 App

2) Click the ‘Travel Services’ section

3) Choose ‘Pre-Registration for Abu Samra Border Crossing’

4) Enter vehicle, driver & passenger info

5) Confirm your vehicle pre-registration request

6) Receive confirmation SMS

7) Head to the Abu Samra border, and enter the ‘pre-registration’ lane
