The National Museum of Qatar welcomes an exhibition displaying unique cars and collectible models until their own museum opens in 2026

This exhibition is taking place prior to the museum’s opening in 2026

The aqua blue Delahaye 175-S Roadster, regarded as a masterpiece of Art Deco design, with a body handcrafted by the masters of the Parisian coach builder Saoutchik in 1949, is one of several spectacular cars on display in a current exhibition, which is on view until January 20th, 2023, at Mawater Gallery in the National Museum of Qatar.

A 1939 Pontiac Plexiglass Deluxe Six known as the “Ghost Car” because of its transparent body, which was initially on show at the New York World Fair’s “Futurama” exhibition, is another standout. This iconic 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the most expensive automobiles in the entire world.

They also currently have a setup in front of the historic Al Zubarah Fort and Barzan Towers. The Volkswagen Race Touareg 3 that Qatari rally champion Nasser Al-Attiyah used to win the Dakar Rally for the first time in 2011 and the 1990 Ford Bronco driven by Saeed Al-Hajri, one of the pioneers of motorsport in Qatar and the Arab world, are among the vehicles on show.
