A protester burned a Quran outside Stockholm’s main mosque on Wednesday, during the first day of Eid Al Adha.
Following the public desecration of the Holy Qur’an on the first day of Eid Al Adha, Qatar has strongly condemned the Swedish government’s decision to allow its burning in Stockholm.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Thursday that the occurrence of such actions under the guise of free speech undermines peaceful coexistence and exposes a hypocritical double standard.

The ministry also cautioned against the rising tide of anti-Islamic rhetoric and hate tactics, which are intensifying alongside the ongoing, deliberate persecution of Muslims worldwide.
