Qatar’s security situation remains stable despite ongoing regional tensions and recent attacks in the region, according to Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Interior.

He noted that Qatar’s stability is the result of strong national leadership, coordinated security operations, and years of preparation for regional emergencies.
Over the past five years, Qatar has significantly strengthened its preparedness for potential regional crises. A key initiative has been the Watan Exercise, a national program that improves coordination between military forces, security agencies, and civilian institutions during emergency scenarios.
The country’s National Warning System was also successfully activated during recent incidents, sending alerts and safety guidance to residents.
According to the minister, Qatar’s National Command Centre operates around the clock to monitor developments and coordinate response efforts using advanced monitoring systems.
During the recent incidents, authorities received more than 5,000 reports from the public, while debris from missile interceptions was reported in over 600 locations across the country. Emergency teams were quickly deployed to assess and manage these reports.
Qatar’s healthcare system also activated emergency response plans to ensure uninterrupted medical services. Hospitals have treated more than 26 injuries linked to the incidents, while officials confirmed that the country maintains nine months of essential medicines and up to twelve months of medical supplies in reserve.
Officials also reassured residents about the country’s strategic reserves. Qatar currently maintains food reserves that can last up to 18 months, along with a strategic water reserve covering around four months of national consumption.
Authorities are also continuously monitoring environmental conditions. Following a recent fuel tank incident in the Industrial City, tests confirmed no air or marine pollution.
Temporary airspace closures across the region disrupted flights in recent days. Authorities facilitated the return of citizens and residents through multiple entry points, including the Abu Samra border crossing, and helped more than 7,000 stranded visitors leave the country safely through limited flights.
Remote work policies remain in place as a precaution while authorities continue to monitor developments.
The minister also praised residents for their awareness and cooperation during the situation, noting that public compliance with safety guidance has played a key role in maintaining stability across the country.
