The 21 million QAR project, “Humanity First: Donate to Charity,” aims to build shelters in Syria, Yemen, Gaza, Niger, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

Over the course of Ramadan, the Qatar Red Crescent Society will build shelter for over 40,000 people in six countries

One project involves constructing a residential community of 300 dwellings for people impacted by the devastating earthquakes on February 6 in northern Syria. In addition to other amenities, the model town will have a mosque, a school, and a health centre.

In addition, 25 housing units will be built by QRCS for impoverished families in Yemen, and 5,440 shelter kits will be given to families who have been uprooted by years of war.

In the besieged Gaza Strip, QRCS will work to repair the homes of 90 families as well as individuals with special needs and install solar panels on them.

In the meantime, 10 mosques with a combined seating capacity of 1,000 people will be constructed by QRCS in Niger, along with a residential village with 25 homes for low-income families.

Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh will also receive assistance, and 10 mosques with a combined seating capacity of 1,400 will be built there by QRCS.
