Qatar has launched a key initiative to supply critical fuel to Gaza, supporting the region during the ceasefire. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Qatar will deliver 12.5 million liters of fuel over the first 10 days of the ceasefire agreement. Twenty-five trucks will transport the fuel through the Kerem Shalom border crossing in southern Gaza. This fuel will power essential services, such as hospitals, shelters, and other vital infrastructure.
Each day, 1.25 million liters of fuel will be delivered to Gaza. This step highlights Qatar’s commitment to easing the humanitarian crisis and meeting the basic needs of Palestinians during this difficult time.
Minister of State for International Cooperation, Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, emphasized that the initiative is part of Qatar’s ongoing support for Gaza. She also stressed the importance of stronger regional and international collaboration to ensure the continuous flow of aid into Gaza. Qatar is ready to work with global partners to ensure that assistance reaches those in need.
In a related development, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met with a Palestinian faction delegation to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The agreement, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, took effect on Sunday.
This initiative is one of many ways Qatar is showing its steadfast support for Palestinians, providing much-needed relief during this challenging time.
