At the 50th Anniversary of the Asian Athletics Association held in Bangkok, Mutaz Barshim of Qatar received the title of “Best Asian Male Athlete” for the second time.

The current Olympic Champion in the high jump is Qatari track and field athlete Mutaz Essa Barshim.

With a personal best of 2.43, he is also the current World Champion and the second-highest jumper in history.
