Rafael Nadal announced his withdrawal from the Qatar ExxonMobil Open on Wednesday on his official account on social media.
I would have loved to play in Doha, where the tournament team, as well as the amazing Qatar fans have always supported me greatly. Unfortunately I am not ready to compete and I won’t be able to come to Doha where I really wanted to be and play again after that unforgettable win… pic.twitter.com/U4GUvIITcr

The 37-year-old Spaniard will play an exhibition match against Carlos Alcaraz on March 3, before heading to Indian Wells, California, for the hard-court tournament next month.
Nadal played three matches at the Brisbane International in early January before withdrawing from the Australian Open and not returning since. He injured his hip flexor during the Australian Open in 2023 which eventually required surgery, missing the rest of the season.
Nadal indicated that this year could be his last, and he has set his sights on the French Open, where he has won 14 of his 22 Grand Slam trophies.
