On January 12 at the Lusail Stadium, Qatar’s national team will play Lebanon in the opening match of the Asian tournament.
Both teams will be competing to win against the top 24 countries on the continent.
Al Annabi will compete in their 40th encounter in the competition, and Lebanon will play in their first-ever AFC Asian Cup opening game. The Lusail Stadium will host the tournament’s final day on February 10, 2024.
The nation’s “jewel in the desert” stadium will be the third-largest match location in AFC Asian Cup history, behind Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium and Iran’s Aryamehr Stadium.
Ten exciting World Cup matches were played in the stadium, which was a finalist for the 2022 Stadium of the Year Award.
The Asian Cup will achieve a first-time milestone in January when spectators will be welcomed into six additional World Cup stadiums.
The eagerly anticipated match is expected to begin in Al Janoub Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Education City Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, and Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
