The Ministry of Awqaf Has Readied 2,150 Mosques & A Lineup Of Events For Ramadan

2,150 mosques have been prepared by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to host visitors during Ramadan.

The Ministry of Awqaf has prepared over 2,000 mosques and countless religious events for the Holy Month

Also, the government has stated that at about 120 mosques throughout Qatar, different arrangements have been made for women.

Thousands of religious events and Iftar feasts for those who are fasting, food baskets for the less fortunate, religious lectures, and educational and cultural competitions have also been planned.

A number of mosques will be accessible for Itikaf, which is a custom where worshippers isolate themselves in a mosque for the last 10 days of Ramadan.

With the help of its six different endowment funds, several religious events will be held for the benefit of more than 20,000 individuals.

10,000 people who are fasting will get Iftar meals every day during Ramadan through the Iftar programme. Through the Salat Al Ata initiative, food baskets will be given to needy families and individuals.

Also, the organization will introduce fresh scholarships in collaboration with the Education Above All Foundation.

On smartphones, a new app will be released that provides zakat calculation services and answers to questions about paying zakat.

The software will allow those in need to apply for aid and track the status of such applications.
