The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has selected 205 mosques across Qatar for Itikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan. If you’re planning to observe Itikaf, it’s a great idea to familiarize yourself with the guidelines to make sure your experience is spiritually fulfilling and in line with the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) teachings.

The mosques were chosen carefully based on factors like location, size and the facilities available for worshippers, so you can expect a comfortable experience wherever you go.
A few things to keep in mind: participants must be at least 18 years old, though those under 18 can join if accompanied by a guardian (8 years old minimum). It’s important to maintain cleanliness in the Itikaf areas, respect the space around you and avoid disturbing others. And, remember to avoid hanging clothes on mosque walls to preserve the mosque’s sanctity.
It’s a time to connect spiritually, so let’s make the most of it! Happy Itikaf and Ramadan Mubarak!
