4 Things To Do In Doha This Weekend (Dec 10-12)

Avatar

As another week is coming to an end, we are excited to share with you our top suggestions to spend your weekend in Doha. Even though the global pandemic has limited our options for some time now, we can still enjoy fun activities and events around town while keeping all the mandatory safety measures against COVID-19.

Shall we begin?

1. Go to a farmers market

Located at the Ceremonial Court in Education City, Torba Farmers Market is an open-air seasonal market that operates from November to April, and it is situated in a lush-green scenery, ideal for a weekend stroll. The Market features stalls that sell everything from locally-grown products, homemade food with many vegan and healthy options, and artisanal goods. Stop by Mylk for the best vegan ice cream you’ve ever tried and Nature’s Treasures for a great cup of coffee!

2. Lose weight by watching a webinar

A series of four live webinars hosted by the obesity experts of Hamad Medical Corporation aiming to help people lose weight and live an overall healthier lifestyle. Hosted on Microsoft Teams in Arabic, with an option to translate in English through the MS Teams platform, the webinars are free to watch with a pre-registration needed.

3. Win prizes for your kids art

The annual international competition hosted by Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros for young children under the age of 15 is here! Young school children will be competing at the Qatar National Contest for a place in the top-3 finalists from each age category in order to be judged at the World Contest in Japan. Special gifts and mementos will be given to each one of the top-3 finalists along with citations to their respective schools, while the International Finalists from each age category will be awarded attractive cash rewards.

Contest Dates: 20 November – 15 December

4. Solve the crime in the series Undoing

As per usual, a great weekend won’t be complete without a series night at home! What’s better than solving a mystery? The Undoing is currently on Netflix and is based on the 2014 novel You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz. A must-watch!
