The AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023TM Local Organising Committee (LOC) has committed to donating tournament ticket sales proceeds to urgent relief efforts in Palestine because it believes that sport can effect social change both within and outside of the football pitch.

The LOC Chairman, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, believes that utilising football to express support for the Palestinian people is crucial.

The proceeds from ticket sales will be used, in collaboration with important stakeholders, to give the people of Palestine much-needed food and medical assistance.

After hosting the AFC Asian Cup successfully in 1988 and 2011, Qatar is slated to host it for a record-breaking third time in 2023.

The most coveted football title on the continent will be contested by twenty-four of the top teams on the continent. From January 12, 2024, to February 10, 2024, nine venues will host a total of 51 matches.
