A Qatari Resident Was Shot and Killed in Florida Gas Station Shooting During His Vacation
A 32-year-old Qatari man, identified as Ahmed Ali, was shot and killed outside a gas station in Miami, Florida on November 7, 2023. The shooter is still on the run, according to NBC 6.
Ali was on vacation with his wife when he was shot. Police say he was killed when he stepped outside a Raceway gas station on Northwest 7th Avenue and 183rd Street to visit his friend, who works as a manager at the station. Ali’s wife was not with him at the time of the shooting but arrived soon after.
Relatives described Ali as a “quiet, responsible and a family man with a smile you couldn’t forget.” They are demanding answers and justice.

Police have not said whether the shooting was targeted or random.
Journalist Ola Diab tweeted that Ali had worked hard during the World Cup to be able to travel to the US with his wife. He was there for a week before he was killed.
