In a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future, H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani inaugurated two major solar energy projects on April 28, 2025, in Ras Laffan City — the Ras Laffan and Mesaieed Solar Power Plants.

The inauguration ceremony featured a documentary highlighting the scale and innovation behind the projects, as well as their strategic role in supporting Qatar’s long-term energy vision.
