What’s changed?

The reopening includes all loop exits for motorists heading between Al Rifaa, Al Ebb, and the north — plus the bridge exit from Al Kharaitiyat towards Doha. Even better? The exit leading into Doha has been widened from one to two lanes, which means less traffic build-up during rush hours.

The process

Engineers dug about 15 meters deep to work on a major water pipeline that runs beneath Al Shamal Road. They even installed a reinforced concrete protection box to keep it safe — all while sticking to top-tier safety and quality standards. Basically, Ashghal didn’t just fix the road — they future-proofed it.
