Recognizing the Doha Metro’s Commitment to Sustainable Infrastructure

The Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD), which developed GSAS, recognized the project after a thorough evaluation. Dr. Yousef Alhorr, GORD’s Chairman, presented the award to Eng. Abdulla Saif Al Sulaiti, Qatar Rail’s Chief of Service Delivery, at a special ceremony.

The Role of the Integrated Control Center in Doha Metro’s Platinum Rating

Eng. Abdulla Saif Al Sulaiti shared that sustainability is core to the metro’s mission: “The GSAS certification ensures our metro services are reliable, safe, and eco-friendly, supporting a greener future.” The B14 building, home to the Integrated Control Center (ICC), plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth metro operations. With a 4-star GSAS design rating and Class A for construction management, the Platinum Operations rating further proves its sustainable and efficient operations.
