Throughout his visit, Trump highlighted Qatar’s growing role as a key ally in the region. During a speech at Al-Udeid—the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East—he called the site one of the best in the world and revealed plans for Qatar to invest $10 billion in advanced military tech, including drones and armored vehicles. He praised the “exemplary defense cooperation” between the two nations and described the Amir as “a true leader and a personal friend.”
President Trump didn’t shy away from addressing international crises. He called Gaza “a land of death and destruction” and said he has “very good ideas” to help displaced people return home. On Ukraine, he asserted the war would never have happened under his watch, while also taking credit for easing tensions between India and Pakistan. Before departing, he unveiled a bold $10 trillion plan to upgrade the U.S. military and build a new “Golden Dome” air defense system all made in America.
