Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha is gearing up to welcome football fans from all over Asia for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, and is offering a host of enhancements to the arrivals experience to make their journey even more enjoyable.

A dedicated fan zone and activations will be set up in the arrivals hall, providing passengers with an immersive experience that celebrates the vibrancy of Asian football.

The zone will feature shops, F&B outlets, foreign exchange services, ATMs, and the opportunity to purchase local sim cards.

Departing passengers can also embark on a cultural immersion by visiting Orchard, an arresting indoor tropical garden and commercial precinct, or Souq Al Matar, a recently unveiled destination showcasing local Qatari culture and customs.

HIA is drawing on its experience of hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to optimize communications with stakeholders and ensure a seamless arrival experience for fans. This includes collaborating with transportation providers to ensure efficient routes to and from the airport and the football stadiums.
