Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs, Eng Abdullah Ahmed Al Karani, highlighted that the march was a big thank you to the hardworking sanitation workers who keep Qatar’s cities sparkling. The event wasn’t just about picking up litter—it was about showing respect, appreciation, and encouraging everyone to pitch in. The Ministry also used the day to roll out cool info on their smart city solutions, like sensor-equipped waste bins that help cut down on travel time and emissions.

Director Muqbil Madhour Al Shammari explained that this year’s march built on last year’s success, with even more teamwork from public and private partners like Qatari Diar. The Ministry is also rolling out smart tech in places like Al-Wakra, making waste collection faster and greener. The march wrapped up with fun competitions, family activities, and gifts that inspired everyone to keep the city beautiful. It’s all part of the Ministry’s big vision for a sustainable, innovative, and united Qatar!
