Protecting vital civilian infrastructure

During the call, a strong emphasis was placed on the necessity of stopping attacks that target essential facilities. The Prime Minister warned that strikes on infrastructure related to water, food, and energy pose a serious risk to civilian life and set dangerous precedents. Protecting these vital resources is a top priority to prevent the crisis from causing further humanitarian and economic repercussions across the region.

Prioritizing reason and the negotiating table

The dialogue highlighted a clear path forward: returning to formal negotiations. The Prime Minister stressed that the only way to contain the current crisis is by prioritizing the language of reason and wisdom. This approach is essential not only for regional peace but also for ensuring global energy security, maintaining the freedom of navigation, and safeguarding environmental safety in the face of ongoing conflicts.

International solidarity and the push for de-escalation

Spain expressed full solidarity with Qatar during this challenging time, echoing the call for an immediate de-escalation of hostilities. Both officials agreed on the importance of intensifying joint efforts and strengthening coordination between international partners. This unified stance reflects a global commitment to avoiding further chaos and ensuring that civilian facilities remain protected while diplomatic channels are restored.
