Qatar has announced the arrival of 19 families from Russia and Ukraine, including 32 children, in Doha as part of a humanitarian program aimed at helping those affected by the ongoing conflict.
The families will stay in Qatar from April 14 to 24, receiving medical, psychological, and social support. This follows a similar initiative last year, when Qatar hosted 20 families from both countries. The program provides a safe and healing environment to support the families’ recovery and stability.

The program is part of Qatar’s continued mediation efforts to reunite families and support their recovery. It is carried out in coordination with Ukrainian and Russian officials—Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine’s Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, and Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia’s Children’s Rights Commissioner.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the initiative focuses on helping families heal, rebuild, and feel safe again. Qatar remains committed to protecting civilians and reuniting children with their families through peaceful and supportive efforts.
