Qatar’s Maha Al-Kuwari Makes History As The First Female Freediving Record Holder!
Qatar just made history in the deep blue! Maha Al-Kuwari, a Qatari freediver, set not one but two national records this September at the CMAS World Depth Championship in Greece.

Maha Al-Kuwari became the first Qatari woman ever to compete in the championship and walked away with records of -41m in Free Immersion (FIM) and -39m in Constant Weight (CWT).

This wasn’t an overnight win. Maha had to juggle intense training, limited opportunities, and the challenges of competing abroad. But her grit and the quiet encouragement of loved ones carried her through. Every hour in the water, every hurdle on land, led to this proud moment!
