The Tunisian community in Qatar is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Amna Chekron, a Tunisian expat who tragically passed away following a fall from the fourth floor of a residential building during Eid celebrations.

Head of the Tunisian community confirms her passing
Despite immediate efforts by emergency responders and hospital teams, Amna succumbed to her injuries. Her passing was confirmed by Abdelbasset Hlali, the head of the Tunisian Community Council in Qatar, who shared a statement offering his deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
In the days leading up to the announcement, Hlali had addressed circulating rumors about Amna’s condition, urging the public to wait for verified updates and promising transparency.
