Two Weeks Left To Exit Qatar Under Residency Grace Period

Time is running out!

Time is running out for individuals who violated residency rules or overstayed their visas in Qatar. Only two weeks remain to take advantage of the Ministry of Interior’s grace period.

The grace period started on February 9, 2025. It allows violators of Law No. (21) of 2015, which regulates the entry, exit, and residence of expatriates, to leave the country without facing penalties or legal action.

Eligible individuals are urged to act quickly:

  • You can proceed directly to Hamad International Airport to depart.

  • Or visit the Search and Follow-up Department on Salwa Road during official hours (1 p.m. to 9 p.m.) to complete your departure procedures.

This opportunity is only available until May 9, 2025. After that, standard legal measures will resume, which may include fines, bans, or other penalties.
