The 1.5-hour pause

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced that all commercial, industrial, and similar public establishments must close for one and a half hours during Friday prayers, starting from the first call to prayer. This applies across Qatar, making sure prayer time is observed consistently.

What Remains Open

Essentials won’t disappear, here’s what remains open – transport services and businesses running on shifts are also exempt, so life keeps moving while prayer time is respected.
