Hey guys, get ready! Strong northwesterly winds are about to shake things up, bringing dust and rough seas tonight through tomorrow morning. It’s going to be an action-packed night, so both mariners and residents should keep an eye out for those big changes!
On land, the winds are packing a punch, with gusts reaching between eight and eighteen knots. Every so often, they hit as high as thirty-two knots, kicking up dust and making it a breezy day for anyone outside.
Out at sea, things are much rougher. Winds are gusting between twelve and twenty-two knots, with some hitting thirty-two knots. The waves are a challenge too, reaching heights of four to seven feet, and occasionally even ten feet, making for a tough ride for boats.
The dust and winds are also playing tricks on visibility. On land, you can usually see four to nine kilometers, but today, it could drop to as low as three kilometers. At sea, it’s a similar story, with visibility sometimes dropping to just three kilometers or less. Early Wednesday morning even saw a bit of dust blowing around, further limiting views.
