All You Need To Know For The Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2020

Undoubtedly, December was the month of football in Doha! Now, it’s time for tennis and tennis tournaments will keep us busy for the next two months.

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open (also known as Qatar Open 2020), is a men’s tennis tournament, that is played on outdoor hard courts. It’s part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

The 28th edition of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open will take place at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, from January 6 to 11.

Some of the world’s highest ranked players are participating and it’s important to highlight that the ExxonMobil Open leads the way to the Australia Open. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Roberto Bautista Agut and Andy Murray are previous winners. Stan Wawrinka and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will also participate.

There are 32 men in the singles and 8 seeded players.

Mr. Saleh Al Mana, Vice President and Director Government and Public Affairs at ExxonMobil Qatar stated that ‘we’re looking forward to a wonderful Qatar  ExxonMobil Open 2020. Doha is a great venue for this tournament and we have been planning new and exciting activities for the thousands of tennis supporters we hope to welcome to our stand’.

Karim Alami, the Qatar ExxonMobil Open Tournament Director stated that
‘Qatar Tennis Federation appreciates ExxonMobil Qatar’s ongoing efforts to take tennis to new levels in Qatar through its sponsorship of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open. This partnership has placed our annual tournament among the top tournaments Qatar hosts. We believe that this outstanding success will continue to grow in future editions of the tournament’.

It’s worth mentioning that ATP announced Doha (250 points), Acapulco (500 points) Indian Wells (1000 points) as the best tournaments in 2019.
