The 30th edition of the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), one of the largest international book fairs in the region, is taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, until January 18, under the supervision and organization of the Qatar Centre for Cultural and Heritage Events.<\/p>\n

The DIBF has a long and storied history \ud83d\ude42 The first was held in 1972 and initially would be held every two years, soon thereafter it became an annual event.<\/p>\n

Since 2010, the DIBF is selecting one country to be the \u2018Guest of Honor\u2019. Brazil, USA, Russia, Turkey, Iran and Germany have been Guest of Honors in the past and now, it\u2019s France\u2019s turn.<\/p>\n

  1. You will find plenty of popular books in beautiful covers; Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Lord of the Rings, The Little Women and Peter Pan to name a few.<\/li>\n
  2. The Book Fair is ideal for kids. There are various books for children of all ages, from coloring books to fairytales. Moreover, you\u2019ll find some toys that your kids are going to love!<\/li>\n
  3. Since France is this year\u2019s Guest of Honor, the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre is France inspired and themed. So, you can enjoy a coffee or dessert in one of the cute cafes that are specially designed for the Fair.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
