A 17-year-old Qatari youth is recovering from severe injuries after a pet lion attacked him. The incident occurred about two weeks ago in the Um Salal area. The teen had visited a lioness he left with the animal\u2019s owner. What should have been a routine check quickly turned into a life-threatening ordeal.<\/p>\n

A Horrific Attack and Ongoing Recovery<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The lion suddenly turned on the teen and mauled him. The attack left him with a fractured skull and deep lacerations. Doctors performed multiple surgeries to treat his injuries. He spent four days in intensive care. His left eye will remain closed for six months as part of his recovery plan. His family expressed gratitude for the care he received and remains hopeful for his full recovery.<\/p>\n
