Officials claim that during the past two years, the frequency of injuries brought on by occupational heat stress has dramatically decreased in Qatar due to rules protecting workers.<\/p>\n
To combat the summer heat, Qatar introduced a regulation in May 2021 prohibiting work in outdoor areas between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM from 1 June to 15 September.<\/p>\n
The 2007 law that forbade working outside from 11:30 AM to 3 PM between June 15 and August 31 was superseded by this one. The judgement also mandated a number of security measures for businesses to guarantee worker security.<\/p>\n
Authorities have since kept up their initiatives to raise awareness of the risks of heat stress while at work in order to stop deadly accidents.<\/p>\n
