As the Gulf State approaches the winter and wet season, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has issued a stark warning to the Qatari public about the potential spread of dengue fever. This mosquito-borne illness, which can cause a range of symptoms from mild to severe, is expected to increase in the coming months due to favorable breeding conditions for mosquitoes.<\/p>\n

“We are urging the public to take preventive measures to protect themselves from mosquito bites,” said a MoPH spokesperson. “Dengue fever is generally not contagious, but it can be serious, especially for young children and people with weakened immune systems.”<\/p>\n
