<\/p>\nGet ready for smoother rides and improved facilities in Al Waab! The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has launched a road and infrastructure development project aimed at enhancing the area. This initiative will increase safety, meet current and future needs, and provide advanced services for all residents.<\/p>\n
The project\u2019s primary goal is to upgrade Al Waab\u2019s internal streets. These upgrades will not only enhance safety but also modernize the infrastructure to cater to current demands and prepare for future urban growth.<\/p>\n

The project will benefit both residential and commercial zones within Al Waab. Located north of Salwa Road and south of Al Ghayriya Street, it\u2019s bordered by Al Hawaya Street to the east and Al Sidr Street to the west. To minimize disruptions, Ashghal will divide the work into four sections, completing one area at a time.<\/p>\n
Around 50 existing plots will receive upgraded services to accommodate future population growth and commercial expansion. The improvements include modern sewage, surface water, and rainwater drainage systems. The internal streets will also undergo enhancements to improve traffic flow and better connect public facilities, ensuring they meet both current and future needs.<\/p>\n

Engineer Abdulla Al Suwaidi from Ashghal outlined the project\u2019s key upgrades, which include the improvement of 1.7 kilometers of internal roads, along with the addition of 57 new streetlights, directional signs, and road markings for enhanced safety. The project also includes 3.5 kilometers of pedestrian paths, 350 parking spaces, a 2.4 km drainage network, a 1.4 km rainwater drainage system, and new potable water lines.<\/p>\n
This development is part of Ashghal\u2019s broader infrastructure initiative across Qatar. The authority\u2019s ongoing commitment to enhancing the country\u2019s infrastructure is evident in this and other projects across the nation.<\/p>\n
