UNRWA and UNICEF warn of a potential famine in Gaza

This came amidst warnings from aid agencies about a potential famine in Gaza, as Israel has been blocking aids from entering Gaza. The United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) said that the last time food aid was sent to northern Gaza was on January 23.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has also warned that after more than four months of siege, one million Gazan children face extreme food insecurity and a health crisis. it said more than 95% of Gazan families reduced adult food portions to feed their children.
