Following stringent surveillance Abu Dhabi Police were able to successfully apprehend a drug dealer in possession of heroin intended for sale.
The individual, an Asian man, was arrested by police during ‘Operation Falcon Eye’.
The police had received information about a suspicious individual attempting to sell heroin and were able to apprehend the assailant when he tried to sell heroin capsules in Abu Dhabi.
When the man was arrested by police he was found to be in possession of a quarter of a kilogram of heroin capsules.Â
The remainder of the 3kgs were subsequently found after his home was searched.Â
Colonel Taher Ghareeb Al Dhaheri, Director of ADP’s Drug Control Department urged the public to report any information regarding the sale, promotion, smuggling or use of drugs to relevant authorities.
