Seven Abu Dhabi schools have raised AED60,000 for children in need in Somalia this week with a special concert.

Aldar Academies hosted the fundraising concert, which saw more than 1,100 people attend, raising a whopping AED60,680 for the UAE’s SmallWorld Charity.

The concert was held at Emirates Palace, and hosted 600 children’s performances.

SmallWorld charity helps less fortunate people across the world, and has educated more than 7,000 children in 55 charities across 39 countries globally to date.

It’s the fourth year Aldar has done this event

“The annual student concert is our main charity fundraiser, and it’s fitting that we should add to our generous past donations during the UAE’s Year of Giving, in support of such an important cause,”

Nilay Ozral, Aldar Academies CEO
